Installing
Four steps, one of them worth reading.
- 01
Run the installer
Close AutoCAD first: its files are locked while it is running, so the installer cannot replace them.
- 02
Start AutoCAD and trust the publisher
On first launch AutoCAD asks whether to load the plugin, and names MD Automation as the publisher. Tick “Always trust applications from MD Automation”, then click Load. You do this once: every MD plugin loads silently afterwards.
- 03
Find the MD Plugins tab
A new MD Plugins tab appears in the ribbon. Every MD plugin shares it: each one adds its own panel.
- 04
Try it, or activate your licence
Type
MDLICENSEMANAGER, open the Plugins tab, and click Start trial: 15 days, no account, no payment. Already bought? See activation below.
Windows 64-bit and AutoCAD 2025 or later. LT versions do not support .NET plugins.
Updating
How updates reach you.
The plugin tells you
The Licence Manager checks a public version file and shows a badge when a newer build exists. It sends nothing about you or your machine, and it never downloads anything on its own.
You download it here
Close AutoCAD, run the new installer over the old one, and reopen. Your licence and settings survive: activation is bound to the machine, not to the build.
No prompt the second time
Once you have ticked Always trust applications from MD Automation, updates and any further MD plugins load without asking again.
