Before you buy.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. Every plugin includes a free 15-day trial. Run MDLICENSEMANAGER, open the Plugins tab, and click Start trial. No account and no payment; the trial is bound to your machine and can be started once per machine.
Where does it install, and do I need admin rights?
The installer puts the plugin in your own user space, so it does not ask for administrator rights and does not touch anything outside your account. If your IT team would rather deploy it once for every user on a machine, there is a zip that goes into the shared Autodesk plugins folder; that route does need admin rights.
How do I receive my licence?
After checkout you get a payment confirmation code. In AutoCAD, run MDLICENSEMANAGER, open the Plugins tab, choose Standalone licence and click Request licence: it drafts an email with your Machine ID; add your confirmation code and send it. We issue your signed key within two business days. On the Licences tab, paste it into Standalone licence validation and click Validate.
Does one licence cover every plugin?
No. Each plugin is licensed separately, and a key unlocks the one plugin it was issued for. They do share a single Licence Manager, so however many you own, you activate and manage them all in one window.
Where do I download the plugins?
From the downloads page. The installer needs no administrator rights and carries the free 15-day trial. Every plugin is also listed on the Autodesk App Store if you prefer that channel; it is the same build, published here the day it ships rather than after review. The licence you buy unlocks the commands either way.
Can I move the licence to another computer?
No. A Standalone licence is bound to the machine it was issued for and can't be transferred. To use MD Automation on a different machine, get in touch and we'll reissue it.
Does it work offline?
Yes, entirely. A Standalone licence is a signed key verified on your machine: no account, no sign-in, and it never phones home. See the offline activation docs for details.
Do you offer team or subscription licences?
Single-user (one user across their machines) and floating (a shared seat pool) licences exist in the product, but aren't offered right now: they run on a hosted licence server that requires a monthly subscription to manage. See the licensing docs.
What does “a year of support and updates” mean?
Your purchase is perpetual: the version you buy keeps working forever, on the machine it was issued for, with no recurring payment. For twelve months from purchase you also get every update we release and direct email support. After that the plugin carries on working exactly as it did; you simply stop receiving new versions unless you renew.
Can I get a refund?
Every plugin runs free for 15 days before you pay: the full build, every command unlocked, no account and no card. That trial is the evaluation, so purchases are final once made. Try it on your own drawings first and there should be no surprises. If a plugin does not do what this site says it does, get in touch. That is a bug for us to fix, not a refund question.
